glass fabrick and glitter
Found another remnant of fabric that I forgot
I love the pattern on this stuff and started cutting and decopaged onto a couple of glass vases I had sitting on my work table...
Had to do some hurry up fotos because I promised them to someone to give as christmas gifts to teachers...

Organization of chaos
My new schedule is appealing, but seems a waste of time
My time
I helped dh paint and finish his man doors in his workshop, which involved oil based enamel paint, and my nails look horrid
Made myself weed the pond area
Took loads of stuff up to the loft, started to organize - but need to get my girls up there to move heavy totes of fabric and 'stuff'
Friday couldn't help but get caught up in grocery shopping and getting RX picked up and a breif look at the thrift store, also stopped in the office to see if I could complete a bit of work that needed some critical information from a client..
Didn't get home until noon.. sigh .. then by evening a sinus headache from hell..
Saturday I had nothing inspiring, yet I could not even force myself to cut out another pattern for a torso that was so very interesting, yet was beyond the attention I needed to give it for pity sakes.
ANOTHER run to get RX because they were not all ready, then volunteered to "paint" the park bench, mail box post, and a fence post with the CWF waterproofer..
Another sinus headache from hell..
And Sunday a heated discussion about why I wasn't making biscuits and gravy!
Do I need to say I am a bit angry that my days off are unproductive?
I decided to do a SORT of my trays of goods, little left overs from other projects, jewelry finds, and scraps that need to go into a scrap bin-
ALL FREEKING DAY
Two or three trips up to the loft to dump off items that were not being "inspiring" at this time, and my table is almost cleared off - again -
Gotta shake my head over this - maybe a middle of the week day off is better

Violets Garden
Before the additions.
This mixed media on canvas is 20 x 32.
A reclaimed picture frame was in horrid condition (dumpster find)
but was a sure thing for me, the inspiration for the lay out certainly.
A section of the metal fence around the cedar tree, the usual bright flowered paper and it was heaven to work again in this medium.
No bling yet, but that is in the back of my mind...

Collections Show Aug 13 2011
Ironing needed, durnit... next time
Name spelled wrong - first and last
ha ha ha
My ALTERED SHOES were very much a different "collection"
the other collections were very very nice, and I had to laugh that I have more
"collections" at home than I realized... clocks, clocks I make, clocks that are battery,
clocks that have something moving on them, like a pendulum
Clocks that I have rescued the inner workings, or face, or hands to use in other projects
wow, I have a COLLECTION of left overs that I should put on Craigs List!
50 folks came thru the open house ($5 a head-kids free)
A client came in and we recognised each other from a one time meeting, and then recognised all the stuff we have in COMMON... wow...
So a great day after all!

Born 2B Wild
give me some fabric and a beat up motorcycle jacket
a couple of clocks
a plywood "aerobic step" from my dancing days
who knows what will happen??
Sometimes, I get a funny feeling deep inside
where does this stuff come from?
nothing was purchased for this project
it was not in a group
it was not stored together
it was just a 'thing' that happened in a few hours
when my dh says "what did you do today?".. lol
Pussie Galore & Lamp post
Drop Box
There goes another piece of me
As wrinkled and messy as freezer wrap can be, shiny side in.
I assume I am going to move the entire thing to another box covered with brown wrap,
and make another layer to put a clock face somewhere
I do have options.. just not "finished" because I don't see it as finished?
almost had to toss something at Lucykitty, she was trying to get me to go fill her dish
and I keep getting a cats tail "tickling" my knees and cat claws as she steps on my feet
ignore her? never!!
There goes another slice of me...
Envelope art
this did translate into a full size collage : there goes another peice of me
shipping box broken down and flattened
wrapped in freezer paper and packing tape
doodled on to "decorate" my package
envelope "reproduced" a few times
now what is missing? oh a clock!
what this really represents..
another piece of me.. in the mail
duh..
The gift of time and c debe art..
Lovely deco style clock face "borrowed" to me from clock wizard Roger Wood..
I have played with the clockface of course
my c debe art is a "doodle design" from envelope art ..
I thought it fit just exactly right on the clock face
The clock face is nestled in a rescued lid from an antique compote dish.
Lucykitty's first fatality. I didn't know she could jump on the mantle.
I have moved the lid around the house for 11 years...
and finally had a WOW moment.. it houses the clock works beautifully!
To "hide" it in the glass lid I have a nest of gold shimmery netting.. lol
Judytime
started out as envelope art
but moved on to an 8 x 10 canvas board
it is actually a "standing book" I made a "stand" for it from soft wire
it is sitting at a friends house near her sewing table where she also
creates jewelry
she creates lovely gardens also!
found a good use for the ear rings bought at a thrift store! they add a little sumpin...

Carried this doll around with me for 37 years, shoved in this or that box.
In her first life she was a "telephone doll"
Now she is a "gift of time"
dis a sembled
de con structed
re-surfaced and re-dressed
perched on a candle stick
Her altered life will be lived in South Carolina, at my mothers house.
Returning home so to speak
damage done
Sorry that I have been missing in action ..
I am well and working and when not creating art.. I am thinking about it anyway.
Been without internet, that was horrid.
Training my new boss, or actually re-training myself? It is going to be fun fun fun!
old dog and new tricks... kwim?
I need to find the pictures of my latest stuff and post..

My hubby was not impressed. Nor am I, but I was in dire straits. MUST keep that THUMB WARM!
The big wad of green is a sleeve cut off of a pull over, and a "MUFF" made out of a microwave-able heating pad thing... I make rice bag heating things...
Just know it WORKS...
Hubby said it looks like a duck..
Thumb Saver
Over the weekend I was desiring to craft, sew, draw, paint, clock, whatever.
Since my thumb wasn't going to work well I was looking at making a nice hand warmer, wrist warmer, thumb warmer... something
Cutting into some fleece pull overs to reconstruct was nice, making a pattern was nice, trying to make the thumb cover work it self into the wrist part... horrid...
Gently working the very thick fleece, one seam only, carefully feeding that plush material the 3 inches thru the feed dogs, under the presser foot.
No fancy stitching, a nice LONG stitch length...
It took more than an hour to figure out HOW to have the thumb attached to the blank blank blank wrist part...
Save me from thinking any more this week, my brain fried..
Pictures to follow.. maybe...
